In 2008, Eddie Arana (guitar) and Justin Tice (drums/percussion) conceived the idea of Station in the South Bay, a coalition of towns cradled between the bright lights of Los Angeles and the inspiring Pacific Ocean. After recruiting Jerome Sinaca (vocals/guitar), Vincent Vinzon (a.k.a. DJ Ingwell), and Branden Bullinger (bass), it was plain to see that Station was a melting pot of musicians, gathered from their respective groups to create an all-star line up. With a diverse cast of players and a vast taste of music, Station is influenced by everything from mainstream hits in rock and hip hop to jazz and Latin rhythms, and even underground reggae and deejays. When these elements combine, it forms a driving and thick yet groovy and soulful alternative rock group comparable to superstar acts Incubus and Maroon 5.
Though the band itself is young, the members of Station have been working at an incredibly quick pace and pumping out an impressively diverse set of original songs. With their broad experiences, it didn't take long for them to strike a chord with their new audiences. Their live performances have people coming back for their signature mix of a rock n roll show with all of the pulsing, dancing and singing that house music crowds are known for. Because of great word of mouth by friends and fans of where to get their music, Station is currently working on releasing its first EP and even has a small tour in the works. With their CD on the horizon, Station is preparing its merchandise to help push their growing fan base into a full blown Station frenzy.
Emcee
Described as the "Deejay's Dj", Vincent is the heart of the band. Spinning classic vinyls with Justin, Vincent adds another depth to Station's music. All of his samples are meticulously edited from the original vinyl records to electronic. Vincent's passion is music and he has dedicated his youth to the spread and appreciation of old R&B. Vincent is a master of remixes and his palette of music is vast.
Bass
Born and bred in Southern California, Branden is bass-pounding musician that knows how to jam. Talented in several instruments, Branden has placed his focus in the bass. He strives to push his limits as a musician. Branden wants to bring music to the masses. He is the youngest in the group and shows a promising future with Station.
Drums & Percussion
One of the first to create Station, Justin worked with Eddie to create the group that Station is today. Justin is a lively drummer and gets you tapping your feet or jumping to his beat. He is classically trained in all percussion instruments. Justin's love for percussion instruments started in High School and continues to this day. He is a very passionate individual and knows his songs backwards and forwards. He is the center of the band and the rhythm that makes Station appealing.
Guitar
Eddie grew up in the beach cities of Los Angeles. His music is influenced by the great rock artists of the 70's and 80's. He is classically trained on the guitar and adapts well to changes in the piece. Eddie was the founder of Station in early 2000. Project McFly is the newest hip hop group within the South Bay area. It is a blend of hip hop, R&B and Funk. They strive to represent the vast cultures within the South Bay area.
Edward Casem Valera also known as Casem derived from his middle name.
Project McFly like many groups, we didn't know what to call ourselves. They agreed that the name Party Boys Xpress would catch on later down the line. So they came up with the name Project McFly. A lot of people probably think of Marty McFly from Back to the Future. In a sense, I think McFly does bring back the flavor of music from the past. We sample beats from old songs and turn them into a sound that people of our generation would enjoy. Project McFly is not like a band, where the whole group wouldn't be able to function if one was missing. We are a collective group of soloist that come together to form the group. In a way, we're we still doing our own thing.
Described as the Deejay's DJ, Vincent Vinzon aka DJ Ingwell comes highly recommended in the Hollywood Nightlife scene. Vincent started Dee jaying at a very young age. Learning to spin using vinyl records, he has not been swayed by technology. Vincent knows that the quality of sound from electronic files are never as good as the old school vinyls. It does not mean that he has shunned out computers. Vincent uses a blended approach to his music, splicing old school mixing techniques to the beat and rhythm of his Mac Book.
Vincent has been on the go and shows no stopping. He plays several clubs nightly throughout the Southern California area. He is a fan of 80s rap and melodic sounds of the early stages of R&B. Vincent gives a new edge to Project McFly that makes it truly its own.
